Maldivian Medical Association (MMA) was established in 2004 as the first independent body representing medical doctors in the Maldives. Since its inception MMA has been a leading voice for sustainable health policies for improving healthcare standards across the country and promoting professionalism among Maldivian doctors.
Our mission is to advocate for a healthier nation by ensuring continuous improvement of healthcare policies and medical services offered across the Maldives while simultaneously fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence among Maldivian doctors.
OUR STRUCTURE
The MMA is lead by an executive committee (EXCO). The EXCO is selected every 2 years by popular vote within MMA members. The team consist of President, VP, Executive secretary, Deputy secretary, Academic secretary, Scientific secretary, Health promotion officer, Spokesperson and Treasurer. The committees efforts and plans presented to the MMA members via an AGM held at the end of every year. The AGM provides a platform for the EXCO to present the annual report and working plan for the upcoming year, in addition the gathering allows exchange of ideas and concerns that MMA members may have.
